A Little About Little Ole’ Me

Hey y’all! I’m M’Kenzie Curry, but most people just call me Kenzie (or just Kenz, depending on the vibes). I’m so excited you’re here—welcome to my travel blog, a place where I’ll be sharing my adventures, tips, laughs, and itineraries from all over the globe.

So just a little about me, I was born in Memphis, Tennessee, but as a military brat, I’ve been on the move most of my life. From Washington state to Belgium and Germany, I got my first taste of international travel before I even hit middle school. By the time I was 12, I’d seen more of Europe than most adults do in a lifetime—and that lit a fire in me that apparently never went out.

After growing up mostly in San Antonio, Texas, I headed to Prairie View A&M University for college to pursue a degree in Marketing. Soon after I graduated, I got my first big girl job and started my career in Albuquerque, New Mexico (of all places…). I honestly think my boredom living in New Mexico is what fueled me into the traveler I am today. I found myself out of town as often as possible. But thankfully after 2 years there, I am now back in the heart of Houston, and loving this chapter of life—filled with passion, plans, and plenty of plane tickets.

OOP! Not Me Starting a Travel Blog

If I had a dollar for every time someone asked, “How do you afford to travel so much?” or “How do you find the time?”—well, I’d be writing this from a private island (Just send a donation next time). This blog was born from those conversations.

I wanted to create a space where I could share how I plan trips, travel smart on a budget, and most importantly, how I keep it fun, flexible, and authentic. Whether you're looking to hop on a flight or just live vicariously through my stories, you're in the right place.

I also plan to offer detailed destination guides, itineraries for sale, and a few laughs along the way (because yes, I’m that girl who will tell you how I got lost in Lisbon and still made it cute).

What to Expect

Expect a little bit of everything:

• Travel tips for Black women, solo travelers, and first-timers

• Food, fashion, and funny moments from the road

• Itineraries, must-see spots, and travel resources

• Insights from places I’ve already visited: the USA, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Europe, and even Africa

I post whenever I travel, so each post is fresh, experience-based, and full of real value.
